CERAMICS – Meteor #1

These orb-like structures are loosely and roughly built.  The moist clay often collapses and bends, creating crater-like surfaces.  Some pieces feature simple repairs that mimic the handstitching on the clothes and Assemblages. The Meteors are all finished with a variety of glazes heavily painted on.  This technique creates the varied color and textures as the glazes interact, bubble, and blend.
