From a young age Shelby has fostered a romanticized vision of a world where every individual effortlessly navigated life in alignment with their truest path. This idealized concept held within it the promise of achieving internal balance, true happiness, and even global harmony—an idea that Shelby found incredibly appealing.
Deeply ingrained in Shelby's core is the belief that obstacles, whether physical, mental, or spiritual, could cause us deviations from our intended path or keeping us from reaching our full potential. It is from that place that Mount Sunny was created-working to remove these blockages, we can gain a clear and unobstructed view of our truest self and highest purpose.
Shelby has a deep appreciation for Traditional Chinese Medicine healing practices rooted in nature and the profound interconnectedness between humans and the natural world. To Shelby, these time-honored traditions held the promise of providing the necessary guidance and support to unlock the transformative power within and reconnect with their truest self.
Growing up scared of needles herself, Shelby offers a painless technique when providing acupuncture treatments with most patients being surprised at how little they feel the insertion.
Shelby Ramirez has earned her license and board certification in Acupuncture and Herbology from the Acupuncture Board of Arizona.
She received her Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, California, as well as a Master's of Science in Oriental Medicine degree from Dongguk University of Los Angeles, California where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was honored with the leadership award.
Shelby also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University, is a certified 200-hour yoga instructor, and has completed courses in Reiki. Always having a passion for healing others and natural medicine, Shelby found her calling through her studies at ASU when introduced to Eastern Medicine.
