Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as chi or qi (chee) — believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. When the body is out of balance, disease arises.

A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat the following pain (low back, neck, shoulders etc), stress, anxiety, mental wellbeing, digestive issues, headaches, arthritis, irregular menstruation, and fertility.

Cupping is a technique that uses small glass cups as suction devices that are placed on the skin to disperse and break up stagnation and congestion by drawing congested blood, energy and toxins to the surface.

Cupping therapy can be used for many different ailments, but is most commonly sought out for the treatment of pain and tension. Cupping is effective in shortening colds, coughs, and fevers and works as an overall detoxification for the body. Most often cupping is performed along the back, but is also effective for the shoulders, knees, calf and hamstrings and abdominal area-especially effective for menstrual cramping.
