The treatment
Your body is changing. The treatment changes too.
Prenatal massage is not a standard massage with a different pillow. Positioning, pressure, timing, and focus areas are all adapted for pregnancy.
Some days the priority is the low back and hips. Some days it is swelling, tired legs, or the simple need to be cared for without having to do anything. We begin with what is true that day.
A good place to begin
Prenatal Massage makes room for…
Back, hip, and leg tension
Pregnancy-adapted bodywork for the places carrying a different load.
Comfortable positioning
Bolsters and side-lying support are used so you can settle without strain.
Swelling and heaviness
The session can incorporate gentler lymphatic techniques when appropriate.
A protected hour to rest
For the physical and emotional load that pregnancy can ask you to carry.
Your visit
A visit built around comfort
Every session begins with a brief check-in. You can ask for changes in pressure or positioning at any time.
-
01
We check in first
Tell us how far along you are, what feels uncomfortable, and whether your care team has offered any guidance.
-
02
We position you for comfort
Your therapist uses supportive bolsters and side-lying positions, adjusting throughout the visit.
-
03
The session follows your body
Pressure, focus areas, and pacing are chosen for what feels supportive that day.
Pricing and duration
Choose 60 or 90 minutes.
HSA and FSA cards are accepted. Ninety minutes offers more room for full-body work at an unhurried pace.
A whole-person approach
Support without a one-size-fits-all plan.
Pregnancy can bring new areas of tension and new limits around comfort. Our therapists use side-lying positioning and supportive bolsters, then adjust pressure and technique throughout the visit.
If acupuncture, lymphatic care, or postpartum bodywork would be a better next step, we will help you understand the options without turning the decision into homework.

Before you book
When can I begin prenatal massage?
Mount Sunny offers prenatal massage from the second trimester onward. If your pregnancy is high-risk or your provider has given specific restrictions, please get their clearance before booking.
Will I lie on my stomach?
